We are working with a leading food equipment manufacturer that is looking to add an experienced Design Engineer to their engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex product development projects and collaborate with global engineering teams on innovative machine manufacturing solutions. The role provides exposure to advanced machine design, hygienic engineering, and cross-functional product development.

Key Responsibilities as a Design Engineer:

• Lead the design and development of innovative machine manufacturing design.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate cross-functional engineering resources
• Collaborate with Controls, Electrical, Fluid, Safety, Manufacturing, and external vendors to deliver projects successfully
• Conduct engineering analyses including DFMEA and other design evaluation methods
• Build and test prototypes to validate design requirements
• Create manufacturing drawings, equipment layouts, and technical documentation
• Provide technical support for customer equipment modifications and troubleshooting
• Mentor and train junior design engineers while reviewing engineering drawings
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and advancement of core technologies
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Design Engineering experience within food equipment manufacturing preferred
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and applying GD&T principles
• Experience with package forming, sealing, cutting, and related packaging subsystems preferred
