We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join an established manufacturing operation in Louisville, KY.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for both production and maintenance operations. The successful candidate will lead supervisors and maintenance technicians while improving production performance, preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, accountability and operational structure.

This is not a desk-only management role. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and assisting with troubleshooting when required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily production and maintenance operations
• Manage and develop production supervisors and maintenance technicians
• Improve production scheduling, workflow and operating performance
• Develop and strengthen preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Improve PM completion and maintenance accountability
• Monitor downtime, throughput, scrap, quality and labor efficiency
• Investigate recurring equipment and process failures
• Implement root-cause corrective actions
• Develop maintenance KPIs and reporting
• Improve maintenance documentation and work-order practices
• Establish stronger spare-parts and MRO inventory controls
• Improve maintenance-shop organization
• Support equipment upgrades, capital projects and facility improvements
• Assist with hiring, training and employee development
• Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting support when required

Requirements:

• 5+ years of manufacturing, production, industrial maintenance or related experience
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Experience leading manufacturing employees
• Experience improving production or maintenance operations
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Preventative maintenance experience
• CMMS experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with root-cause analysis, Lean, 5S or continuous improvement
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Comfortable working in an evolving manufacturing environment

Compensation:

$95,000–$120,000 depending on experience.

The upper end of the range is available for candidates with the right combination of leadership, manufacturing and maintenance experience.
