We're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading custom equipment manufacturer in Morgantown, PA.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on the evaluation, repair and redesign of industrial machinery, combining hands-on equipment experience with mechanical design, reverse engineering and project execution.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and inspect industrial equipment and develop repair strategies
• Participate in equipment disassembly, inspection and reassembly activities
• Measure critical dimensions including bearing, interference and tapered fits
• Reverse engineer components and develop repair recommendations
• Create repair proposals, project budgets and schedules
• Develop manufacturing drawings and design layouts using SolidWorks
• Create Bills of Materials and shop documentation for production and purchasing
• Provide technical support throughout the build and repair process
• Monitor project quality, budget and schedule performance
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience with industrial mechanical equipment in design, quality or assembly
• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Understanding of AWS welding symbols
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Experience creating detailed drawings, design layouts and Bills of Materials
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
