We are working with an established System Integrator company based in Nottingham, UK.
They are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their team.
In return for a salary up to £60.000 along with excellent employment benefits.
Our Client are a leading provider of automation solutions within the warehousing and logistics industry, specializing in the design, integration, and installation of control systems for complex logistics operations.
As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking for an experienced and skilled Project Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of conveyor system projects.
This role involves close collaboration with the project management and design teams to ensure each project meets technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
You will play a key role in coordinating and executing project activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Technical Design & Analysis: Assist in developing technical designs and specifications for conveyor systems in line with client needs and project goals. Responsible for applicating and refining the GA from standard blocks, as required. Integrating and leading 3rd party technical procurement
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, designers, and the installation team to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams.
- Site Surveys & Installation Support: Conduct site surveys and assist with on-site installations and commissioning. Ensure systems are installed according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure that all project work adheres to LAC Conveyor Systems Ltd’s quality standards. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and project progress reports. Leading design risk assessments and designing safe maintainable solutions
- Client Interaction: Act as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing technical queries, updates, and troubleshooting during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field). Professional certifications or training in project engineering are an advantage.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the conveyor systems, automation, or manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of conveyor systems, automation technology, and mechanical and electrical components.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with project management software (MS Project).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong project documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
